Google: "Here" Is Bad Link Text

Lizzi Sassman from Google said in this morning's Google SEO office hours that using the anchor text "here," the text for your hyperlink, is simply "bad link text." Instead, you should use more descriptive text for the page you are linking to.

An SEO asked if links on YouTube videos will help with your Google SEO. Then someone said that it would help get your content indexed faster. Both are false and myths because YouTube links have nofollow attributes on them, so Google does not count them.

Google: Building Your Site On Bad Links Over Time Will Have A Lasting Effect

Google: Spam Update Hits Won't Be Fixed By Removal Internal Duplicate Content

Google's John Mueller said that removing internal duplicate content and other technical issue fixes won't lead to your site recovering from a Google spam update. John said that these spam updates look more at the "actual content" than if you have technical issues or duplicate content on your site.

UK Financial Services Advertisers Now Needs Verification For Microsoft Advertising

Microsoft announced that if you do financial service ads in its network, like on Bing Search, in the UK, you will need to be verified in early 2023.
