Google Shopping Results With Good Price Label

Google is showing a new label or extension on the Google Shopping product carousel named "Good price." Truth is, I am not sure if it is new, I mean, Google can show many different labels there but I've never seen "Good price" listed there before.

Google Search Ranking Volatility This Week: June 8-12

This week has been weird, in terms of Google Search ranking volatility. The volatility seems to have extended from this past weekend, throughout most, if not all, of this week. But again, like this past weekend, the tools are really not showing much heat and volatility. But I am seeing significant chatter in the SEO community about ranking fluctuations.

Google Search Personalization Settings Are Changing

Google sent an email to some searchers notifying them that changes are coming to how to control your saved history and personalization within Google Search. Google added that "You'll see this change in your Google Account in the next few days."

Google Search Was Unaffected By Gemini Outage

Google Search and its search generative features like AI Mode and AI Overviews were unaffected by yesterday's Gemini outage. Gemini, which is Google's AI product, had several outages throughout yesterday and we know that Gemini powers some of Google Search, so I was curious if the outage had any impact on Google Search.

Google seems to be testing new "top pages" links within the Google Ads sponsored listings. These look like sitelinks or those old tags but they are titled "Top pages."

Google AI Mode Tests Citation Counts & Favicons Under Results

Google is testing moving the results count with favicons from above the citations and links cards in the AI Mode results, to under/below the citations and links cards. I am not sure if this will make a difference either way to publishers, but Google is always testing changes.

Google: Google Chrome Won't Set AI Mode The Default Search Experience

Google has confirmed that the search company has no plans on making AI Mode the default search experience within Google Chrome. This comes after Chrome Canary added a new experimental flag that redirected searches from the address bar directly to AI Mode. According to Rajan Patel, a Google VP, that was an error.

Bing Tests Larger Favicons For Top Sponsored Ads

Microsoft Bing is testing using a larger favicon format for sponsored ads in the top position. The favicon is about 33% bigger in the top sponsored ad position than in an organic or lower sponsored ad position.

Warning: Google Ads Phishing Attack For Google Accounts

It is not that uncommon, unfortunately, to see Google Ads that are designed to steal your login credentials for various platforms, including your Google account. Now, when you search for "my business," which is how many businesses login to their Google Business Profile account, you are presented with a Google Ad that will attempt to grab your login credentials and take over your account.

Google announced a new feature in Google AdSense to share the full IP address in bid requests. Google said that full IP addresses are indicated by many buyers to be an important signal, so there is a new setting to allow you to share the full IP address with those buyers.

Google AI Mode & AI Overviews Sliding Carousel For Link Cards

Google is testing a new way to show citation link cards within AI Overviews and AI Mode. In this test, if you click on a citation bubble, Google opens a carousel at the bottom of the screen that you can swipe left or right on to see the links to publisher sites.

Google May 2026 Core Update Hits Hard Saturday - May 30th

The Google May 2026 core update seemed to have hit some sites in a very big way yesterday, Saturday, May 30, 2026. As a reminder, the May 2026 core update was announced on May 21, 2026, and then that following weekend, we saw some significant ranking volatility, and then again, this past weekend, we saw even more volatility. I suspect the update will be completed in the next few days.

Bing Tests New Sitelinks On Ads

Microsoft Bing is testing a new style of sitelinks for the search ads. These sitelinks differ in that they are narrower, use a smaller font, have a border and when you hover over them, they change from a blue font to a bold black font.
