Most SEOs that have been doing the search engine optimization thing for any amount of time know that Google can and likely will drop out URLs from the Google index. John Mueller from Google confirmed that this happens with Google Search on Twitter the other day.

Google AdSense Does Not Help Your Site Rank Better In Google
Google has once again said that placing Google AdSense ads on your site will not and does not help your site rank better in Google Search. Danny Sullivan of Google responded to this one on Twitter confirming that Google Search does not look if the site has AdSense ads on them for ranking.

Affiliates Swapping Out Dofollow Tracking Links After Google Product Reviews Update
One space that seemed to be hit the hardest by the last Google Product reviews update - the July 2022 update - was the affiliate space. Some affiliates are scrambling to make changes to see a return of their rankings and one change I see affiliates are talking about are swapping out dofollow affiliate tracking URLs with other tracking URLs.

Google: Tons Of SEOs & Sites Produce Terrible Content Not Worth Indexing
Google's John Mueller said on Twitter that "lots of SEOs & sites produce terrible content that's not worth indexing," when someone was complaining his content was not indexed. "Just because it exists doesn't mean it's useful to users," he added.

Google: The Model Your Site Was Built On Is No Longer Feasible
Google's John Mueller explained that for some sites, the model and fundamentals the site was built upon are "just no longer feasible." He explained this when someone asked how long it would take to see recoveries after a Google algorithm update. John said "fundamental quality issues" can take longer than just a month to resolve and sometimes never.

Google Search Displaying Far Fewer FAQ Rich Results Today
Rank Ranger reports show a significant drop again with the rich results for FAQs in the Google search results. Earlier this month 31% of the results the company tracked had FAQ rich results, now it is down to only 18% of those search results.

Your Google Ads Summary Snapshot Box In Google Search Results
Google seems to be testing showing a new search box in the Google Search results for a summary view of your Google Ads. The box is named "Your Google Ads Summary" and shows a preview of your ad that is active and explains that "your ads can show for this search."

Google Merchant Center Policy For Missing Return/Refund Policy Or Insufficient Contact Info Updated
Google has updated its Google Merchant Center policy for free listings only specific to the "Insufficient contact information" or the "Missing return and refund policy." Free listings will no longer be disapproved but instead, they may "have limited visibility on Google," Google wrote.

Google Tests Expandable Maps In Search & Tabs In Map Results (Again)
Google is testing an expandable map feature in Google Search for when you see the map load in mobile search. This is instead of when you click on the map and it takes you into Google Maps, here Google is just expanding the map screen larger and adds a link to go to Google Maps.
