Google Tests Multiple Local Packs In Search Results As You Scroll

Google seems to be testing showing multiple local packs in its search results as you scroll down the page. I cannot replicate this, which makes me believe this is a limited test. But Christian Kunz was able to repeat this over and over again, showing multiple local packs come up as he scrolls through the Google search results page.

New Google Ads Policy Disallows Location Assets For Closed Locations

Google has sent out an email to some advertisers using location asserts within Google Ads with "new policy requirements." In short, it says that if your location is closed, not recognized, or does not match the business ads location, then Google Ads location assets are not allowed.

AdSense for Search To Stop Serving Over Google, Ad Personalization Deprecating

Google announced late on Friday that AdSense for Search (AFS), AdSense for Shopping (AFSh), and Programmable Search Engine (ProSE) will stop serving ads over google.com and this will also mean that ad personalization will be deprecated for these products because Google cookies will no longer be available to them.

Google Again Says Schema Does Not Make Your Site Rank Better

Google once again said that adding schema or structured data markup to your pages will not result in those pages ranking better in Google Search. Danny Sullivan, the Google Search Liaison, said this on X, "using schema doesn't give you a ranking boost," adding, "Schema doesn't make you rank better." He even said that "Schema has nothing to do with rankings."
